CRISPSUM FREEZER INVENTORY Version 1.1 | Updated August 5, 2026 PURPOSE Use this inventory to find frozen food, preserve useful identity, and attach portions to realistic meals. It is not a storage-life calculator and does not reconstruct handling before food was frozen. THREE STEPS 1. Work one zone at a time. Check a shelf, bin, or basket in a short session and keep the freezer closed between checks. 2. Preserve useful identity. Record the ordinary food name, food form, portions, freeze date, exact location, and package or batch details that still matter. 3. Plan the next use. Assign an older suitable item to a meal and flag unidentified or damaged packages for a separate cautious review. FIELD NOTES - record_status: Distinguishes your blank template from the illustrative example file. - item: The ordinary food or dish name shown on the package or home label. - food_form: A useful state such as raw, cooked, sliced, or prepared meal. - portion_quantity and portion_unit: The amount available for future meals. - freeze_date: The date frozen at home, when known. Do not invent an unknown date. - storage_zone: A location specific enough to retrieve the package quickly. - package_or_batch_id: Brand, lot, home batch, allergen, or instruction details worth retaining. - planned_use: The meal or purpose that gives the food a reason to leave the freezer. - review_note: A condition, missing fact, or next action that needs attention. SAFETY BOUNDARY Freezing preserves food but does not correct contamination, unsafe handling, or an unknown temperature history. Use current official guidance for thawing, refreezing, power outages, package damage, and the exact food form.
